[Samuel BECKETT] A large lot of more than 200 works composed of numerous editions of major works by Beckett, (Waiting for Godot, Murphy, Molloy, Watt, Malone dies, End of Part, How it is, etc.) sometimes multiple, translated into many foreign languages, published in many countries, some with dedications. There are German, Czech, English, Hungarian editions, including one with a dedication by Romhányi Török Gábor, (to the publisher Jérôme Lindon), Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Chinese, Japanese editions, including one with a dedication by Takumi Manai, Greek editions, with a copy bearing the signature of Jacques Lacarrière, Dutch editions, to name a few. Also included is a set of works concerning Beckett and other authors translated by Edith fournier, Aidan Higgins, Frank Budgen, the Nobel Prize winner Seamus Heaney with a dedication by Eoin O'Brien, a dedication to the translator on The Beckett Country, a copy of Theatre Aujourd'hui No. 3, L'univers Scénique de Samuel Beckett, complete with 16 slides, 2 double CDs and 6 VHS cassettes, etc. Also included are several copies of Beckett's works, bearing his signature, on first editions (sometimes sunned spines with defects), various magazines, the work D'après Paris and Le Piéton de Paris, with its famous facsimile by Léon Paul Fargue, the work in Spanish 100 anos de premios nobel, Beckett's friendship by André Bernold, with this dedication to Edith Fournier l'ange de l'ange, with gratitude and respect, and many others, a non exhaustive list.Following this set, there are several typescripts of Suzanne Dumesnil (Suzanne Dechevaux-Dumesnil, was the wife of Samuel Beckett), titled Fourteen poems, Contre-jour, A la Corbeille, L'Amarre with some corrections and autograph additions one dated January 25, 1949 and another Françoise, dated November 18, 1947. Set of 75 p. in-4. We note the name and address of the writer Tonny Clerx, inscribed on two of the typescripts, pseudonym of Jacoba van Velde, literary agent for the work of Samuel Beckett and certainly for Suzanne Dechevaux-Dumesnil at that time.The sale catalog of the gallery P & B Rowan in Belfast, offering a bronze bust of Samuel Beckett executed by the artist Lyn Kramer. 5 photos (each 21.5 x 15 cm) in color, bust photographed on several sides, at a price of £4,000.Finally, a file is attached with numerous letters from admirers, addressed to Beckett, some modern photos and a collector's cigar ring with Beckett's image.
