CELINE (Louis Ferdinand) French writer and... - Lot 7 - Goxe - Belaisch - Hôtel des ventes d'Enghien
CELINE (Louis Ferdinand) French writer and doctor (1894-1961) Autograph letter signed "LFC" to his "Dear Old Man". [to Gabriel Daragnès] 2 pp. in-folio. June 12, 1950], with these few autographed words from Lucette, "Kisses open stomach! Lucette", in the margin of this letter. Interesting letter about his wife Lucette's hospitalization in Denmark, made necessary in May 1950. "Very well received the splendid bathrobe of exciting color!" announces Céline, hoping that it will be a favorable element to her cure. He told her that she was still hospitalized and that her condition seemed to be improving. "But I don't dare to say yet. These abscesses can always recur. It's a nightmare of failed sutures. We operated better 30 years ago! They make us shit with their so-called Prograais! [I have not seen the famous penincillin (for penicillin) in action.)
