BRANCUSI Constantine (1876-1957). Lizica CODREANU mimicking a bull against a background of a muleta held by a "bullfighter", Paris, early 1920s (To the right of Lizica her sister Irena). It is probably "The sad end of the Romito bull", a cabaret song whose arrangement for voice and piano was produced by Eric Satie in 1899. Gelatin silver negative on a 12 x 9 cm glass plate. Attached: a silver contact, on Ilford paper, circa 1990. Provenance: former collection of Irina CODREANU sculptor, workshop at 10 impasse du Mont-Tonnerre Paris 15th century.
