BRANCUSI Constantin (1876-1957) Lizica CODREANU dancing on Éric SATIE's Gymnopédies, in Brancusi's studio, 8 impasse Ronsin Paris XVe, 1921-1922. Hands away from the body (variant of the same pose session as number 144). Silver gelatine negative on glass plate 12 x 9 cm. Seal: a silver contact, on Ilford paper, ca. 1990. The costumes and scenography for this show were created by Constantin Brancusi. Provenance: former collection of Irina CODREANU sculptor, workshop of 10 impasse du Mont-Tonnerre Paris XVth. On pages 81 and 82, a link is suggested between the sculpture La Sorcière (1916-1924) and the headdress with the two cones of Lizica's costume.
