Fashion will animate part of this sale with a magnificent collection, that of the couturier and designer Fayçal Amor. The latter is well known in the fashion world, particularly for the brand "Plein Sud" which he created in the late 1990s in a practical and contemporary style.
This designer, born in Tangier of a Russian mother and a North African father, created clothes at the crossroads of the East and the West for a world that he says is "full of cultural mixtures".
It is sometimes overlooked that he was committed to parade the most beautiful models of the time before the lens of talented photographers.
From this love of photography he kept very beautiful prints, showcasing them in his Parisian showroom. This work sublimated his creations, the beauty of the models and the talent of the photographers he chose.
Today these photographic prints are offered for sale, a unique opportunity to afford large format prints, not marketed, relationship of complicity between the photographers and the fashion designer.
We are also fortunate to offer a set of personal documents of the photographer Jacqueline Rau who, since the 1930s, has brought her particular sensitivity to the effects of light and shadow on the bodies or landscapes she photographed. The prints of this remarkable artist are very rare on the market.
